When the temperatures rise, one of our favorite ways to cool down is with a refreshing and delicious Watermelon Cooler. Pure YUM! ?

watermelon cooler

3 large basil leaves
1 slice peeled ginger (1/4” x 2”)
1 chunk watermelon (2”)
1 TBSP simple syrup (1part sugar, 1 part water)
1 TBSP fresh lime juice
2 oz of your favorite vodka (or not)
Ginger ale

In a shaker, muddle the basil, ginger, watermelon and simple syrup. Add the vodka and lime juice, and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Top with ginger ale and garnish with a watermelon chunk and basil leaf.
