Complementary Colors, by LO

As passionate as I am about nature, I am (almost) as passionate about exploring big cities.  On a recent trip to Europe for London Design Week, I found myself particularly drawn to the bright splashes of color in an otherwise gray-ish city.  I had the same euphoric feeling of discovery walking through the streets of London as I did on a recent hike through the Columbia Gorge.  There’s an overall monochromatic palette, whether it be green hues from the forest, or gray hues from streets and buildings- but it’s in the color accents where I find joy.  Here are a couple of examples.

While one is completely man-made, the other is natural – which further supports our theory that our intentional color choices take direct cues from nature – and in this case, complementary colors – bonus!
